A keen businessman, Mr Joubert and family moved down from Windhoek in 1988, Where they ran a successful furniture store, to Delareyville in the then Western Transvaal, to continue business along the same vein. Very Soon he acted on his interest in manufacturing and purchased a clay brick plant in Stella in the Northen Cape.
At the end of 1995 the family setted in Uvongo on the South Coast of KZN after becoming the proud new owners of Vongo Bricks and true to form, soon afterwards purchased the 6 acres the brickyard operated on. For the next 20 years the business settled into its niche of serving mainly the medium to small building contractor’s and quickly become known for delivering both very small to large loads with very short waiting periods.
